Camper Detailing — I Come to Where It's Parked

A camper is the hardest thing on your property to get cleaned, and it's not because of the work — it's because hitching up and hauling it somewhere is half a day gone before anybody touches it. I bring the water, the generator, and everything else to wherever it sits, same as I do with trucks.

What I Do on a Camper

Same full treatment I give a vehicle, there's just a lot more of it. Here's what that covers.

  • Hand wash top to bottom — roof, sides, front cap, and back, plus the rims and tires
  • Bugs off the front cap and road film off the back, which is where a camper always takes the worst of it
  • Black streaks worked off the sides — the runoff marks that come off the seams and the roof edge
  • Windows, awning rail, and storage-bay doors cleaned out, not just rinsed past
  • Inside gets the full treatment: floors, counters, cabinets, the dinette, and every cup holder and vent
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaned the way you would want them before the first trip of the season

What I don't do is roof resealing, awning replacement, or bringing badly oxidized sidewalls back — those are their own trades, and you're better off with somebody who does them all day. If I see something like that while I'm working, I'll tell you rather than quietly washing over it.

When Folks Usually Have Me Out

  1. 1

    Before the first trip

It has been sitting all winter, usually under a tree. This is the one most folks want, and it is worth booking before everybody else remembers in April.

  2. 2

    Before you put it away

Storing it dirty is how black streaks set in and how a summer of bugs gets permanent. A wash before it sits is cheaper than fixing it in the spring.

  3. 3

    Before you sell it

A clean camper photographs better and shows better, same as a vehicle. If that is the plan, tell me — I will spend the time where a buyer looks.

What It Costs

A camper is quoted per camper, not off the price list. A 16-foot bumper pull and a 38-foot fifth wheel are not the same job, so putting one number on a page would be wrong for somebody no matter which number I picked. Length is most of it, condition is the rest. Tell me what you've got and where it sits, and I'll come look and give you a real number — no charge for that.

If you've got a truck that pulls it, plenty of folks have me do both in the same visit — the interior and exterior detail is priced by vehicle size and that part is on the list.

I appreciate everybody around here who's trusted me with their vehicles, and campers are the same deal — I'll treat yours like it's mine and tell you straight what it needs. Send me a message and we'll figure out a time.
